ADEL-Wheat (Architectural model of DEvelopment based on L-systems) allows simulating the 3D architectural development of the shoots of wheat plants. It includes a parcimonious parameterisation that allows simulating the plant in details from sparse data. The model is integrated in the OpenAlea platform, that provides visualisation and analysis tools, and allows coupling with functional and biophysiccal models.
